Munjed S. Salem, DPM
Munjed S Salem, DPM received a B.S in Chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA, and completed his doctorate degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, New York, NY in 2010. He then completed his surgical residency training in Wilmington, DE. He then practiced podiatric medicine and surgery in the Boston, Massachusetts area for about one and a half years. Dr. Salem spent his formative years in The West Bank (Palestine) and Virginia.
Dr. Salem is the C.E.O of Active Foot and Ankle Center and Active foot and Ankle of Carolina. He was trained in all aspects of foot and ankle medicine and surgery with a focus on wound care, pediatrics, trauma, sports medicine, and forefoot and rearfoot surgery. During his residency training, he spent time at the limb lengthening center of the Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. There he was exposed to extensive training in surgical and non surgical management of congenital foot and ankle deformities in adults and children including management of clubfoot deformities.
Dr. Salem moved back to Virginia in 2014. He and his family moved to the tidewater area from New England. He has a wife and four children. He is an avid football enthusiast who also enjoys other sports. He looks forward to continue being an active member of the community.
Soumaya T. Bader, DPM
Soumaya T. Bader, DPM
Soumaya T Bader, DPM received a B.S in Biology at Baylor University in Waco, Tx, and completed her doctorate degree at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, Ca in 2017. She then completed her surgical residency training at HCA Healthcare West in Houston, Tx. Dr. Bader spent her formative years in Casablanca, Morocco and Texas.
Dr. Bader was trained in a highly surgical program which focused on all aspects of foot and ankle surgery including but not limited to trauma, elective surgery, pediatrics, diabetic and Charcot reconstruction, forefoot and rearfoot surgery.
Dr. Bader joined the practice in July 2020. During her free time, Dr. Bader enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She is an avid swimmer and enjoys hiking on the weekends. Dr. Bader looks forward to contributing her time and efforts to the betterment of our lovely community.

Sandra Henderson
Sandi has been our office manager for over 15 years. She earned her business and organization skills from 32 years with AT&T, Sandi came directly to our practice and immediately put those skills to use. Her proven ability and effectiveness in identifying opportunities, developing focus and accountability for our practice has continued to allow us to ensure health and wellbeing to our community by providing technical innovation and the ethical commitment essential to a quality, patient centered experience.
